MArdi Gras Krewe
The We Care Krewe are volunteers who help organize the Mardi Gras annual event to raise funds for the We Care Foundation of IR whose mission is to provide and improve upon the continuity of care for patients in the We Care Program.
Fundraising through community-centered events such as the Mardi Gras Annual Celebration is essential to reaching this goal. The We Care Krewe is community-minded and each individual dedicates their personal time to bring a menagerie of talent, creativity, and hard work to the table.
Specialty healthcare for We Care patients is provided by Volunteer medical professionals who often treat patients in their own offices. The We Care Foundation provides funds for non-physician ancillary medical or medically related needs. Examples include after-care wound dressing, cataract lenses, emergency prescription assistance, and transportation for medical appointments.
The Foundation also provides funding for medical supplies and operations costs for the We Care Primary Care Clinic in the Gifford Health Center.
All proceeds go directly back into the Indian River community.
The We Care Foundation of Indian River is grateful to our passionate Krewe volunteers for their donation of time and talents to our festive and purpose-driven events. Without them, the Mardi Gras Celebration would not be possible!
