Dr. Reinauer Joins We Care Board

Dr. Dennis Saver, president of the We Care Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Reinauer has joined the We Care Board.  Dr. Reinauer is an ophthalmologist specializing in treating macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and vitreoretinal surgery at the New Vision Eye Center in Vero Beach.
Dr. Reinauer earned his medical degree at the University of Texas and has post graduate training in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and vitreoretinal surgery.  He is currently licensed to practice in Florida and Texas. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Christian Ophthalmic Surgical Expedition Network.
For the past twelve years Dr. Reinauer has been part of volunteer mission trips to Mexico providing free ophthalmology services to people in need.  Here in Vero Beach Dr. Reinauer currently serves as a We Care volunteer doctor specializing in treating in treating macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments. When asked why he wanted to volunteer with We Care, he replied, “I am looking to have the opportunity to give back to the community by lending my skills as an ophthalmologist and active member of the community to an organization such as yours.” He added, “I saw that there was a need here for retinal care so people did not have to drive to bigger cities to treat their retinal disease.” Dr. Reinauer lives in Vero Beach with his wife  Claudia and daughter Blake.
